Eco Design Approved
This fantastic Newburn range has been designed by our manufacturing partner Ecosy+ stoves of Hampshire before being sent off to the renowned Kiwa Gastec to be rigorously tested. These test showed that all Newburn models exceed the very tough SIA Eco Design Approved regulations. In addition to this, they have also been approved for use in smoke free zones (Defra Approved). Exceeding the eco design test is a true mark of a quality stove; inferior products that are not well engineered will fail often fail this test. Ecosy+ stoves, along with the other key UK stove brands is a member of the SIA and submits documentation proving that the technical claims we display, are legitimate. Want to find out more? About the stove and how it works
This classical looking wide bodied unit will suit a huge range of UK homes and fireplace designs. Having the ability to pair different handles and fittings provides the customer with a truly unique stove that perfectly fits their own taste and decor. This stove answers a lot of customers’ problems – they want a physically large stove with a huge glass front but can only install one with a 5kw output, as they do not want to drill an air brick into the wall. This model has that nominal output of 5kw but has a wide heat output range of between 4kw and 8kw, meaning the stove is perfect for many individual customer requirements from taking the chill off in the evening to being the main source of heat in a large room.
This well engineered stove has an impressive secondary / tertiary burn and twin baffle design. The two work in tandem to recycle the initial smoke produced by the fire and continue to burn it off before it is expelled from the stove. The stoves high efficiency (over 81%) and low particulate output, demonstrate this is working well. The stove is a wide body design and boasts a large heat resistant, ceramic SCHOTT glass front that gives an uninterrupted view of the fire. Something that is on the tick list of almost every stove buyer. The stoves high speed, pre-heated air-wash system ensures that warm air is rushing onto this glass, helping to keep it free of smoke stains.
Construction
The Newburn range of stoves are steel bodied units with thick cast iron doors; the preferred constriction method of modern day stoves. The Idyllic range has an incredibly thick, 10mm top and fully seam welded body. Its thick top helps radiate heat long after the stove has cooled down. Each stove has a fully vermiculite lined inner shell that helps protect the stove’s body and increase its life span. The fuel itself burns on a mineral cast iron grate that includes a riddle arm and fully folded ash pan with tool. All Newburn stoves have top and rear flue outlets and adjustable feet for levelling out uneven surfaces.
5 Year Guarantee
This covers the stove’s body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6 digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS / OFTEC engineer or signed off by building control.
DEFRA Approved
This version of the Newburn has been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in smoke controlled zones. Defra approved stoves with 5″ flue outlets, like this one, can also be installed with a 5″ liner. The Defra approval has been achieved by factory fitting a mechanical stop to prevent secondary air closure. This can be removed prior to install if you do not require or want a Defra approvedstove.
