Hooga 5
HOOGA (pronounced hue-guh) is a concept of living derived from the Danish word “hygge”. The concept cannot be translated to one single word, but it encompasses a feeling of cosy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life. We hope this stove can bring a little Hooga to your life!
The Hooga has been designed by our manufacturing partner Ecosy+ stoves of Hampshire before being sent off to the renowned Kiwa Gastec to be rigorously tested. These test showed that all Hooga models exceed the very tough SIA Eco Design regulations that are now in place. In addition to this, they have also been approved for use in smoke-free zones (Defra Approved). Exceeding the eco design test is a true mark of a quality stove; inferior products that are not well engineered will fail often fail this test. Ecosy+ stoves, along with the other key UK stove brands is a member of the SIA and submits documentation proving that the technical claims we display, are legitimate. Ecosy+ stoves are well reviewed amongst the public and qualified installers. Want to find out more? Go to stoveindustryalliance.com.
About the stove and how it works
This modern looking wide bodied unit will suit a huge range of UK homes and fireplace designs. Its 50mm smooth and thick curved door gives the stove a robust look and feel whilst helping radiate heat for longer.
This well engineered stove has an impressive secondary/tertiary burn and twin baffle design. The two work in tandem to recycle the initial smoke produced by the fire and continue to burn it off before it is expelled from the stove. The stove’s high efficiency (over 78%) and low particulate output, demonstrate this is working well. The stove is a wide body design and boasts a large heat-resistant, ceramic Schott glass front that gives an uninterrupted view of the fire. Something that is on the tick list of almost every stove buyer. The stoves high speed, pre-heated air-wash system ensures that warm air is rushing onto this glass, helping to keep it free of smoke stains.
Construction
The Hooga range of stoves are steel bodied units with thick cast iron doors; the preferred constriction method of modern day stoves. The stove has an incredibly thick, 8mm top and fully seam welded body. The stove top gets plenty hot enough to boil and kettle or cook on. Its thick top helps radiate heat long after the stove has cooled down. Each stove has a fully vermiculite lined inner shell that helps protect the stove’s body and increase its life span. All stoves have top and rear flue outlets and adjustable feet for levelling out uneven surfaces.
5 Year Guarantee
This covers the stove’s body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6-digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered, it must be installed by a HETAS / OFTEC engineer or signed off by building control.
Options
1. Direct air feed box – This box bolts to the stove’s air inlet and makes it a room sealed stove, perfect for new builds. A direct air feed pipe can connect to this box and draw in in directly from the outside. The spigot on the box is 80mm – (Pipe itself not included)
2. Ceramic glass coverage – Ceramic glass is not covered under the guarantee for any stove on the market. Ceramic glass is fully heat-resistant but will break if struck with a log, or similarly hard object. This glass is expensive, but for a small fee we are offering to guarantee it for a full year. This covers any accidental chips or cracks, and photographic evidence will be required. This covers one claim only, not multiple breakages.
3. Matching diameter, 1000mm length of vitreous enamel flue pipe
Why Are We So Cheap?
This is a common question we get asked, and we understand why people wonder how it can be done at such a good price. We are unique in the way we operate, as we occupy the whole supply chain through the brands we own. Opposed to only selling to the brands to trade we primarily choose to sell direct to the end user at a trade price. This completely cuts out any middle men and gives the end consumer direct contact with the people who build them. We can stock over 7000 stoves at any one time and ship direct to the end user with no showrooms. We always suggest prospective buyers take a look at our glowing feedback that currently has over 7000 positive comments on our stoves and stove related products.
DEFRA Approved
This version of the Hooga has been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in smoke controlled zones. Defra approved stoves with 5″ flue outlets, like this one, can also be installed with a 5″ liner. The Defra approval has been achieved by factory fitting a mechanical stop to prevent secondary air closure. This can be removed prior to install if you do not require or want a Defra approved stove.
