Eco Design Approved
The Defra approved Ecosy+ Panoramic is one of the most up to date stoves on the market. It has been tested and approved to meet the new Eco Design requirements making this a stove for now and the future. The testing for this unit was undertaken by Kiwa Gastec in Cheltenham, a leader in their field. Find out more about the Eco Design scheme at stoveindustryalliance.com.
Ecosy Stoves is our Hampshire based brand that has designed and developed a large range of Eco Design Ready stoves that have been warmly received and reviewed by our thousands of public and trade customers. In 2017 Ecosy+ were one of the first to launch one of these units and to date is a key member of the SIA ( Stove Industry Alliance ) helping to shape the future of our industry. With over a decade of experience you can rest assured that your stove has been well designed and built for longevity.
Slimline
This stove answers a lot of customers’ problems – they need a physically large stove but can only install one with a 5kw output. This has been achieved with this model by clever design. The external body is very wide (560mm) but the depth of the stove is shallow (314mm). The Panoramic also has a twin layer construction – the inner layer has been tapered in at the sides making the fire box slightly smaller and therefore reducing the potential heat output. The firebox is still 400mm wide meaning large logs are not a problem. The maximum heat produced can also be fired up to over 7kw, making this a truly versatile stove, adaptable to suit a large number of applications.
A Little Bit More About The Stove
This stove proves there is no need to spend £1000+ to get an advanced, good quality stove and has been echoed in the many positive reviews this stove has received to date. Some of the features on this stove include a huge, fully heat-resistant, glass-fronted door that gives an amazing view of the fire. Those of you who have had fires before will know this a big plus of owning a stove. The stove has a fully laser cut steel body that is machine welded in our factory. Attached to the body is a flawless mineral cast iron door with brushed chrome handle, nicely finishing the stove off. We are so confident of the quality that we offer a 5 year guarantee; something that is not offered on any other stove around this price bracket.
Ecosy+ has tried to give the Defra-approved Panoramic wood burning stove a very minimal aesthetic and have therefore tucked away the air controls under the bottom ash lip which allowed us to increase the glass size for a maximised view of the fire. The stove’s air supply is solely drawn in from the rear and regulated by the sliding control on the front. This advanced design makes the stove adaptable for a “direct air feed” . The dimensions of this outlet is 90mm internal diameter and 100mm external diameter. – This does not count as a room sealed stove as air is drawn through a the primary air inlet – On a standard install, an air brick is not required.
Clean Burn System
The Ecosy+ has an advanced seconday/tertiary clean burn system. On more advanced units like this one, it is common to have the air fed in from the rear and split off to be fed under the fire, over the fire (Secondary burn) and over the glass to help keep it clean and clear (Airwash system). The secondary burn feature is a real advantage as this re-burns the initial gasses and smoke produced from the fire. This means you are getting every drop of heat from your fuel and in turn will save you filling the stove up as often, saving you money and time on fuel.
5 Year Guarantee
This covers the stove’s body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6 digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS engineer or signed off by building control.
Construction
The Panoramic is a “hybrid” stove and its body is constructed from quality Q235B carbon steel, that has been chosen for its plasticity, toughness and weldability. The door is made from very thick mineral cast iron that helps retain the heat and slowly release it into the room. Having a cast iron door also enables us to add features like the shallow curves on the top and bottom. The internal lining is vermiculite and the grate is constructed from heavy duty cast iron and includes an ash pan. – The stove weighs over 110kg
The Difference Between The Wood Version And The ( Multi-Fuel ) Version
The standard Panoramic is a wood burning only stove and does not require a grate, ash pan, as wood burns best with lots of air flowing over it and minimal air from underneath. This Multi-Fuel version however includes a grate and ash pan as smokeless coal burns best with lots of air rushing underneath. The Multi-Fuel version also includes a primary air control on the door to increase and decrease the primary air under the grate. We have designed this unit to have the grate and ash pan removable so each fuel can be burnt in their preferred way.
Note: If you plan on burning mainly wood, we suggest buying the standard Panoramic and NOT the Multi-Fuel version listed here. We would only suggest this unit for people who plan on burning smokeless coal as well as wood. Or smokeless coal on its own.
We also have a stand/bench available for this stove. The stand is 275mm high and will provide log storage as well as increasing the stove’s height.
DEFRA Approved
This version of the 5kw Panoramic has been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in a smoke controlled zones. Defra approved stoves with 5″ flue outlets, like this one, can also be installed with a 5″ liner. The Defra approval has been achieved by factory fitting a mechanical stop to prevent secondary air closure beyond the 31mm open position. When ordering over the phone please specify that you require the DEFRA version. If not you may be sent the non DEFRA unit.
Custom Rear Flue Box
This unit can be fitted with a Rear Flue Box ( Note – The unit does come with a 5″ top and rear flue outlet as standard ). The vertical rear flue box can make certain installations a lot easier and also gives the user a perfectly flat top, perfect for cooking. The vertical rear flue box only protrudes 160mm from the stove rear, whereas a 90 degree bend added to the stoves 5″ rear outlet protrudes a minimum of 230mm, allowing the user to use the rear flue option without having the stove stick too far out in the room. – See gallery images
