RED – Ecosy+ Hampton 5 XL – Defra Approved – Eco Design Ready – 5kw – Woodburning Stove

The Defra Approved Hampton 5 XL is one of the most up to date and cleanest wood burning stoves sold in the UK.

2022 Eco Design Ready

The Defra Approved Hampton 5 XL is one of the most up to date and cleanest wood burning stoves sold in the UK. It has been tested and approved to meet the new Ecodesign requirements that will be mandatory for all stoves by 2022, making this a stove for now and for the future.

With its unique matte red finish, the Hampton XL will be the centrepiece of any room. The Hampton is custom painted with high quality heat-resistant paint designed to keep your stove’s wow-factor for years to come. When lit, the red contrasts with the warm glow of the fire to create a truly brilliant display of colour. Stainless steel fittings as standard which blends nicely with the red. We offer an option to have the first length of flue finished in the same red. Or, if you prefer how it looks in the main image, you can buy a stainless steel length of flue – linked here – https://www.stoveworlduk.co.uk/5-inch-flue-pipes?product_id=643

This model not only meets but exceeds the government’s tough requirements by some distance and has now been awarded level 5 ClearSkies status; the highest possible rating. All test results have been carried out by Kiwa Gastec in Cheltenham, UK – a leader in their field. The Technology

The Hampton 5 boasts some of the lowest combined readings of NOx, CO and dust of any wood burning stove sold in the UK. In response to the government’s initiatives to lower such emissions from wood burning stoves, you can rest assured that you have one of the cleanest stoves for sale in the UK. This unrivalled clean burn has been achieved by the quality engineering exhibited in all Hampton models. All bodies are made from thick steel plate that is perfectly folded and welded together, ensuring no air can leak into the stove.

The hidden gem of this stove is its internal shell – effectively another stove inside the stove, where air is drawn in from the stove’s rear, fed between these two layers of steel and precisely dispersed over the fire at the rear, through a series of holes inside the chamber. Having the air introduced high up in the chamber is an effective way of re-burning the initial smoke and pollutants created by the fire. The air that is not dispersed through these holes speeds up as it rises over the fire, and is released like a curtain of air over the glass. This heating effect speeds the air up and is the most effective way of keeping the glass clean. In our attached video you can see the curtain of air descend on the glass as the vent is opened. Practical and truly wonderful to watch.

The Hampton 5 is a wood burning only stove, therefore does not require a multi-fuel grate or ash pan as wood loves to burn on the base. The stove is however lined with thick 30mm vermiculite boards that protect the stoves shell, and its internal steel baffle is removable for sweeping. Under the stove is the simple push-pull lever that gives an incredibly accurate degree of control over the fire as the vent plate is mechanically attached to the body. The Hampton has a 30mm thick virgin ore cast iron door that helps retain and slowly release the heat into the room in conjunction with the stove’s thick steel body. As with all parts of the Hampton they are well-designed and engineered but not over-complicated. Too often stoves have an over-complicated system that does not stand the test of time and can be incredibly expensive and complicated to fix. We confidently offer a 7-year warranty on this product.

Crystal Clear Glass

As mentioned in the technology section the air is drawn into the fire low down at the stoves rear. The air races up and over the stoves chamber increasing in speed as it travels until it is unveiled and drops like a curtain over the stoves glass. This can be seen in action on the video attached at the start of this listing. This system is proven to be a very effective way of keeping the glass clean and clear of smoke stains providing the wood burnt is well seasoned.

7 Year Guarantee

This covers the stove’s body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6-digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS engineer or signed off by building control.

DEFRA Approved

The Hampton has been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in smoke controlled zones. Defra approved stoves with 5″ flue outlets, like this one, can also be installed with a 5″ liner.

Custom Finish

A perfect fit for someone looking for a unit that is truly unique. The stove comes as standard with a stainless steel chrome handle option, but we have many more to choose from. We love how the unit looks matched up with our classic brass handle and knob! This version will be hand-finished by stove professionals here at Stove World UK. The whole unit will be stripped and repainted with the highest quality Calfire paint. Calfire is well respected in the industry because their paints are not only great-looking but highly durable.

This covers one claim only, not multiple breakages

Stove Construction

The Hampton XL is a “hybrid” stove and its body is constructed from quality Q235B carbon steel, that has been chosen for its plasticity, toughness and weldability. The door is made from very thick mineral cast iron that helps retain the heat and slowly release it into the room. Having a cast iron door also enables us to add features like the shallow curves on the top and bottom. The internal lining is high density vermiculite boarding

Why Are We So Cheap?

This is a common question we get asked and understand why people will sometimes wonder how it can be done so cheap. We are one of, if not the only stove company in the UK that either designs (through our brands) or buys direct from the factory for every single product. This way we can offer the best possible price directly to you. If you ever have an issue with the product you are speaking to the people who make it, and sorting it out is often very easy and quick. I am sure we have all been in the position where you are passed between retailer and manufacturer to try to get an issue resolved. We always suggest prospective buyers take a look at our glowing feedback that currently has over 7,000 positive comments on our stoves and stove related products.
